Today we have put the isolation and the first layer of the floor.

A first nice setback aswell, we have to cut open a bit more of the entrance then I had calculated. Otherwise the fridge-door wont open.

Floor foundation

For the last couple of days we have managed to fix the floor foundation, electricity and water connections.
We started by taking down the wall between the kitchen and the dining room:

We will put up a brick wall on the left from floor to ceiling and a half height brick wall plus cabinets on the right (seen from the kitchen to the dining room):

Crusader squad, shoulder pads

I decided to try to paint the shoulder pads of my Black Templar initiates. I have primed them all black so I went with a layering to make them white.
First layer of Astronomican Grey:



On top of that, a layer of bleeched bone:


Then, thre layers of Skull White, some drybrushed Codex Grey on the chest eagle and some edges highlghted with Codex Grey aswell:

Some orcsies

Put some more paint on the orcsies. Some bleeched bone on the horns, teeth and skulls. Tried out a wet palette this time, works really nice. The paint doesn't dry up, kind of makes it get a good ratio of water and paint too. You can find a nice tutorial on how to make one over at Massive Voodoo
I also put some sand on the bases, gonna paint it either green or brown and then add white football lines on some of them. Time will tell if it works out OK.
