Dreadtober - Build week

I joined the Dreadtober challenge hosted by https://brokenpaintbrush.com/
It seemed like a perfect challenge for me since I have four Dreads that has been ignored for too long. So I will join up with two participants, one Death Company Furioso and one heavy equipped with a twin-linked lascannon.
This week I picked them up and prepped a little bit, made the base for the heavy and glued some pieces together.

I also managed to prime them, but I had all my masking tape in the other house so I could not prime the black parts on the heavy dread.

This coming week they are supposed to have all the main areas painted.

Change of plans and some ball tossers

Haven't been painting for a while but some progress last night.
I've decided to go with a Black Templar army instead of Blood Angels so I covered up the dred.

Primed and tidied up four marines (Black Templar initiates to be)

I've also primed, put some skin color and metal on the chain mail/armor on a orc blitzer and a black orc for my orcy Blood Bowl team.

Furthermore I have primed and skinned four orc slugga boyz.

Next up for this bunch of minis is to be fully base coated and then some wash. I think I need to work on my camera technique and lighting when taking pictures as well.

Blood Angels Dreadnaught 2

Finally got some time and a mood for some painting.
Fixed up some details on the Dred (hoses, pipes, skulls and so on), so next step will be some washing.

Blood Angels Dreadnaught 1

My dred is coming to life, almost done with the base coating.
Got some metal parts and some hoses left to coat up, thinking of going blue for the hoses.

I also carved away the tactical markings on the right shoulder pads on some of my marines from the AOBR-box. Wasn't as difficult as i thought it would be, just a matter of taking it easy and having a sharp knife. Hopefully I will have time to base coat them tomorrow.
